During the winter months, it’s not uncommon to see Rio Grande turkeys gathered in impressive flocks numbering in the hundreds. Among these groups, you’ll often find 30-40 mature toms, making for an exciting and rewarding hunting experience. In areas with less timber, where Rio Grande turkeys thrive, flocks tend to average 30-40 birds, with about 7-10 mature toms accompanying the hens.

From Sandhill plum bushes and cedar trees to CRP grass and nearby water resources, our properties are designed to support thriving bird populations.
This is true Kansas upland hunting at its best, whether you’re chasing quail, pheasants, or both. We keep camp sizes small, typically accommodating no more than four hunters at a time, ensuring a personalized and authentic experience in the heart of Kansas.
