Built in 1908, Willow’s Farmhouse is more than just a place to rest your head—it’s where the stories begin. Named after Hans’ “hunting” companion, Willow (who you’ll likely meet during your stay), this cozy and historic farmhouse offers a warm and welcoming retreat after a day in the field.
Here, it’s all about good food and great company. Whether you’re kicking back with new friends or swapping stories with old hunting buddies, this is where memories are made. Help yourself to snacks and meals from the kitchen or bring along your own groceries—it’s all part of the experience.
And while the farmhouse stays true to its roots, you’ll still have a big-screen TV for the games and WiFi to check in back home. At Willow’s Farmhouse, you’ll find more than just a bed—it’s a place to gather, laugh, and relive the day’s hunt.

We know you need those extra five minutes of beauty sleep, so breakfast at Willow’s Farmhouse is designed to be quick, satisfying, and field-ready. Grab a loaded breakfast burrito, a blueberry muffin, or a biscuit on your way out the door. If a Little Debbie honey bun calls your name, we won’t judge—we promise. Coffee is always brewing, so you’re energized and alert for your morning in the stand.
After a productive morning in the field, it’s time to decompress and refuel. Sandwich and wrap fixings are always on hand, along with chips for a quick bite. You’ll also find plenty of leftovers from the previous night’s dinner. If you’re craving something different, we’re happy to point you to the best small-town diners around.
Whether you’re celebrating a monster buck or just sharing stories from the day, supper at the farmhouse is a hearty, home-cooked highlight. Expect a balanced meal with a salad or appetizer, a delicious main course, and a dessert you won’t want to skip. We make sure you head to bed full and ready for another day of adventure.

Our farmhouse is centrally located in south-central Kansas, with easy access from several main routes:
From the North (Great Bend or I-70):
Head south on US-281 until you reach Stafford. Turn east onto E. 30th Ave, and continue to 668 S.E. 30th Ave.
From the West (Dodge City):
Take US-50 east to Stafford. Once in Stafford, turn south on US-281, then east onto E. 30th Ave to reach the farmhouse.
From the South (Wichita):
Travel west on US-54 until you reach Pratt. From Pratt, head north on US-281 toward Stafford. Turn east onto E. 30th Ave to find Willow’s Farmhouse.
From the East (Hutchinson or Wichita):
Take KS-96 west to US-281. Head south on US-281 into Stafford, then turn east on E. 30th Ave to the farmhouse.
For guests flying in, here are your options:
Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport (ICT):
The closest major airport, located about 1.5 hours from the farmhouse. Rental cars are readily available at the airport and are the most convenient way to reach the Farmhouse. Renting a vehicle also ensures you’ll have transportation during your stay to run to town or explore the area if needed.
Pickup Service: While we typically don’t offer pickup service, for an additional fee, arrangements can be made. Contact us in advance to discuss options.
Pratt Regional Airport:
For guests flying private planes, Pratt’s regional airport is just 20 minutes away. Please let us know if you plan to land here so we can assist with local arrangements if needed.

South Central Kansas offers a diverse and rich environment that’s ideal for wildlife and hunting. The land features a mix of irrigated and dryland agriculture, including wheat, corn, soybeans, alfalfa, and grain sorghum. This consistent crop production not only supports the excellent genetics of whitetail deer but also provides an abundance of food and cover, allowing wildlife to thrive. After feeding, deer often relocate to thick plum thickets or pockets of timber, making the area a prime hunting destination.
Kansas weather can vary widely depending on the season, so it’s important to come prepared for all conditions.
Kansas is in the Midwest, where weather can change drastically in a matter of minutes. We strongly recommend bringing versatile gear to prepare for anything from sunny days to sudden cold fronts.

For any supplies or dining needs, the nearest grocery store and restaurants are located in Pratt, just south of Stafford. This ensures you have access to essentials during your trip.
- September–October (Muzzleloader Season):Cool mornings and evenings, with daytime temperatures averaging 60–80°F.
- November (Archery Season): Classic fall weather, ranging from chilly teens to the 50s.
- December (Rifle & Archery Season): Winter sets in with temperatures from single digits to the 40s. Snow is possible during this time.
Lastly, a friendly reminder: while we do everything we can to ensure a successful hunt, weather is beyond our control. If conditions affect your hunt, please remember that your guide is doing their best to adapt to the circumstances. Weather is simply part of the adventure!
